The modern care home has a slightly different mattress requirement to that of many hospitals. Issues include the effectiveness of side rails, height of mattress, dementia and that clients are smaller, lighter and possibly more susceptible to shear forces.

The Squirrel 9240 is a feature packed mattress – that has been created to assist in the effective prevention of pressure ulcers and to assist in the treatment of wounds . It includes a host of important features such as static option – which allows all cells to be inflated so as to assist in care and treatment.

It also includes ventillated micro low air loss. This assists the cells that are in areas of high load -
typically the thorasic and sacral areas. The laser punch holes gently allow the cell to collapse and deform to the unique patient shape when under load. This deformation allows a greater surface area to be supported, thus making the mattress far more comfortable for the patient while delivering
optimum pressure care.

We have designed this system to be supplied as a cost effective overlay. The Squirrel 9240 fits most beds and comes complete with digital pump, alarm, votex style fabric cover, CPR and an incredible 48 Soft Form air cells.
